    Engagement Manager - Banking (Ex-MBB) - Global Consulting Firm - Contractual

    At Outsized, we connect financial services and management consulting clients with top-notch independent consultants and specialized firms for their critical projects.

    Our client, a leading global consulting firm, is teaming up with a major player in the banking sector to innovate and create a state-of-the-art digital banking platform.

    The project covers aspects of retail, SME, and corporate banking to deliver a comprehensive and forward-thinking solution.

    To assist in this endeavor, they are currently seeking a former MBB consultant with previous experience overseeing multiple banking projects.

    Responsibilities of the consultant:

    • Lead the design and implementation of a large digital banking platform for the bank
    • Communicate project status and potential risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Manage day-to-day project execution while mentoring and developing team members
    • Engage directly with clients, often on-site, taking full ownership of the project and its outcomes
    • Contribute significantly to analysis, design, and development of customized solutions, implement business performance strategies, and collaborate closely with clients to ensure lasting positive results
    • Collect and analyze data, formulate and test hypotheses, and create recommendations for presentation to client leadership
    • Collaborate with relevant parties to address any issues with current technical solutions
    • Actively participate in crafting solutions to complex problems, outlining strategies, and aiding the team in implementing those solutions

    Desired qualifications for an ideal consultant:

    • Minimum of 8 years of consulting experience, with at least 5 years in management consulting and strong expertise in digital and technology within the Banking sector
    • Master's degree/MBA (or equivalent) from a top-tier management institution
    • Bachelor's degree or B.Tech from a premier engineering school

    Key Skills:

    • Effective communication skills to drive alignment on complex decisions within the organization
    • Mentorship abilities to maximize team potential, fostering a culture of trust and transparency
    • Eagerness to learn and deliver in a challenging environment that requires multiple alignment sessions

    Additional details:

    This role is on a contractual basis for an initial period of 6 months, with a high likelihood of extension.

    The selected consultant must be located in Mumbai for the entire duration of the contract.
