- Wholesale Transformation is responsible for world-class strategic transformation of Wholesale banking through smart execution. We act as strategic partners to business and create world class digital capabilities that enable HSBC Wholesale to digitize at scale and simplify the lives of our colleagues & customers.
- We are a team of ~500 globally and over 200 in India, driving design, business change, product ownership, simplification and automation across Wholesale Value Streams (Client Onboarding and Servicing, Global Payment Solutions, Global Trade & Receivables Finance, Capital Markets, Sustainability, Platforms & Regulatory programmes).
- Senior Business Analysts shape and lead design activities and operating model definition and are at the centre of Business Change (Digital Delivery) function. Primarily, the Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for managing and executing the analysis activity within one or more of the priority programmes. They will lead multi skilled teams responsible for the Requirements Management, Design, Change Management and Implementation Management activities during project delivery. Senior Business Analysts often act as experts across multiple projects and programmes simultaneously, guiding the teams on their approach to Requirements Management and other analysis activity. Senior Business Analyst's will also oversee Change Management activities spanning from early change planning and audience analysis; through to designing and delivering change interventions ( communications, training, support, organisation alignment); and tracking and taking actions on change readiness, adoption, and feedback.
- Supports and guides the Product Owner to create/evolve Product roadmap, creation of epics and writing of user stories and managing the product backlog
- Create analysis of customer journeys and product functionality
- Engages with senior technology project and technology program managers as well as product owners
- Ensure all requirements are aligned to strategic data models and operating model and all exceptions are duly recorded and ratified.
- Supports the program management with impact assessment for change requests on design, scope, time, budget or effort on program plan and provides accurate estimates for handling new requirements, design changes and scope
- Ensure all requirements have suitable benefits associated with it and full traceability on ownership of requirement and success criteria for each requirement
- Perform in-depth impact assessment of proposed changes on processes, data and systems and formally document.
- Work with transformation lead and wider project team to ensure the change initiatives, linked to the Transformation program, are pushed through to completion.
- Drives adoption of the best practices across the BA community Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in advanced Business analysis requirements gathering and design techniques; the ability to produce structured BRDs, finalize User Story, and write functional specification
- Proven delivery experience working in a global project environment with different methodologies (including Agile/Waterfall)
- Hands on experience in Managing the capture, analysis and documentation of business process and driving measurable continuous improvement into process at design.
- Experience in designing solutions or change interventions and overseeing change management activities which can include diverse tasks, from timeline planning to stakeholder engagement
- Experience in UAT planning, preparation and execution, UAT coordination and facilitation to Business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to run effective workshops for client business users
- Ability to advise stakeholders regarding process improvement initiatives. Ability to present complex solutions in clear and concise language
- Strong aptitude with Data Analysis and Interpretation skills - the ability to critically evaluate information gathered across multiple sources, using multiple analysis techniques, reconcile variances and recommend proposals to senior and key stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas – Client Services, Credit & Lending, Capital Markets, Global Payment Solutions, Global Trade & Receivables Finance, Regulatory Risk & Compliance, Sustainability
