    Job Description :


    We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with a strong background in ISPW, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD), and XL Release.

    The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of mainframe technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.


    Responsibilities :

    Mainframe Development :

    • Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using languages such as COBOL, JCL, and Assembler.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

    ISPW Expertise :

    • Demonstrate indepth knowledge of ISPW (CA Endevor or a similar tool) for source code management and version control.
    • Manage code promotions, baselines, and configurations within ISPW to ensure a controlled and efficient development process.

    Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) :

    • Implement and maintain CICD pipelines for mainframe applications, integrating with modern tools and practices.
    • Work closely with the CICD team to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient development lifecycle.

    XL Release :

    • Utilize XL Release for orchestrating and automating the release pipeline.
    • Collaborate with teams to define and execute release plans, ensuring timely and errorfree deployments.

    Troubleshooting and Debugging :

    • Diagnose and resolve issues related to mainframe applications, ISPW, and CICD processes.
    • Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.

    Code Reviews and Documentation :

    • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and best practices.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed and modified mainframe applications.

    Collaboration and Communication :

    • Work closely with business analysts, QA engineers, and other development teams to ensure alignment with project goals and deadlines.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on development progress and issue resolution.

    Qualifications :

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

    • Proven expertise in ISPW and strong understanding of version control concepts.
    • Handson experience with CICD tools and practices.
    • Familiarity with XL Release or similar release orchestration tools.
    • Proficient in COBOL, JCL, Assembler, and other mainframe languages.
    • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
