Location: NEW DELHI / NCR. (Relocation package for outstation candidate)

Cancard Inc is looking for an experienced, engaged, and hands-on healthcare technology leader for the position of Healthcare Interface Developer to help drive development, deployment, and management of an innovative portfolio of digital healthcare products for global markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develop and implement interfaces to enable interoperability between healthcare systems, such as Electronic Health Records (EHR), Health Information Exchanges (HIE), laboratory systems, billing systems, etc.

· Design and integrate HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and other interoperability standards into healthcare applications.

· Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements, define interface specifications, and validate data exchange workflows.

· Troubleshoot and resolve interface-related issues, ensuring data integrity and system reliability.

· Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to healthcare interoperability.

· Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation activities to maintain high-quality software solutions.

· Provide technical expertise and support to clients and stakeholders during interface implementation and integration phases.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of interface development processes and methodologies.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Programming Languages: Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in healthcare interface development, such as:

· Java

· C#

· Python

· JavaScript

2. Healthcare Interoperability Standards: Strong understanding and experience with healthcare interoperability standards, including:

· HL7 (Health Level Seven)

· FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)

· DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine)

· IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) profiles

3. Interface Protocols and Technologies: Familiarity with interface protocols and technologies used in healthcare data exchange, such as:

· RESTful APIs

· SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol)

· Web services

· Messaging standards (e.g., MLLP, WebSockets)

4. Healthcare Information Systems: Hands-on experience with various healthcare information systems, including:

· Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR)

· Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)

· Radiology Information Systems (RIS)

· Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)

· Billing and Claims Systems

5. Database Technologies: Proficiency in database technologies commonly used in healthcare applications, such as:

· SQL (Structured Query Language)

· NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)

· Data warehousing and analytics platforms

6. Security and Compliance: Understanding of healthcare data security and compliance requirements, including:

· HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)

· GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

· HITECH Act (Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act)

· Data encryption and authentication protocols

7. Version Control Systems: Experience with version control systems for managing code repositories and collaborative development, such as:

· Git

8. Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and practices, including:

· Scrum

· Kanban

· Sprint planning and retrospectives

9. Integration Tools: Knowledge of integration tools and platforms commonly used in healthcare settings, such as:

· Mirth Connect

· Cloverleaf Integration Suite

· Interface engines (e.g., Rhapsody, Corepoint)

10. Healthcare Terminologies and Code Sets: Understanding of healthcare terminologies and code sets used for clinical documentation and data exchange, such as:

· SNOMED CT

· ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision)

· LOINC (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes)

· CPT (Current Procedural Terminology)

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

· Proven experience of 5 years in healthcare interface development, interoperability, and data exchange.

· Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.

· Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, FHIR, DICOM, etc.

· Hands-on experience with healthcare information systems (EHR, EMR, LIS, RIS, etc.).

· Familiarity with healthcare data formats, protocols, and security standards (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile software development methodologies is a plus.

· Relevant certifications (e.g., HL7 Certified Interface Specialist) are advantageous.
