The Information Security Analyst participates in the development, communication, implementation, enforcement and monitoring of security controls to protect the organization's technology assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction.
Under general supervision, this job is responsible for performing tests and monitoring security controls that prevent IT-based crime, hacking, intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction of the organization's information systems and IT assets.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Designs, tests and implements secure operating systems, networks and databases for the organization.
- Assesses the technical feasibility of adopting external cloud based IT platform and infrastructure services within the organization.
- Identifies portions of the organization's IT platform/infrastructure with the highest potential return for cloud deployment.
- Helps implement the organization's global strategies and initiatives to enhance Information Technology plans, operations and procedures.
- Performs difficult risk assessments and executes tests of data processing system to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures.
- Analyzes system access logs, ensuring only permitted individuals have access to company information.
- Monitors use of data files and regulates access to safeguard information in computer files.
- Monitors current reports of computer viruses to determine when to update virus protection systems.
- Reviews violations of computer security procedures and alerts managers of issues that arise.
- Conducts cost/benefit evaluation of cloud solutions compared to virtual private networks, dedicated hosting, and inhouse solutions.

Cybersecurity Technical Writer - India
COMPANY OVERVIEW:

TIAA is seeking a Technical Writer for the Security Release Management (SRM) team within Cybersecurity.
As a member of the Security Release Management team the Technical Writer will be responsible for supporting all documentation for all Cyber Engineering and Operations teams including documenting schematics, processes, procedures, user guides, requirements, product catalogs, and communications/ notifications, coordinating and communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring operational procedures are being followed and maintained.
All deliverables must comply with departmental standards and be completed on time for release with the products and services offered by the Cybersecurity teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Perform Technical Writing for all Cybersecurity products, processes, controls, and services for technical and nontechnical audiences
- Support and collaborate with Cybersecurity personnel/teams to provide technical writing, documentation guidance, and support
- Create highquality technical architecture documents with visually creative and appealing images (e.g., schematics packages)
- Create, publish, and maintain document templates to ensure content, format, syntax, and aesthetic consistency
- Proofread and edit written content with mínimal supervision to ensure that simple language is used to express complex ideas for a wide range of technical areas
- Brainstorm, plan, and create errorfree professional documentation for a wide range of audiences; knowledge levels of cyber, engineering, and IT processes must be communicated to the reader in noncomplex terminology
- Design documents with a range of charts, infographics, photo images, screenshots, diagrams, headings, and lists
- Use research and evaluation methods to generate publications that clearly and concisely express complicated technical topics
- Establish and maintain the SharePoint Document Repository structure and libraries
- Ensure Security Release Management services are completed on time with a high level of quality and accuracy
- Govern, facilitate, and lead SRM processes, workflows, and tools such as intake, prioritization, coordination, documentation, and reporting
- Maintain and add to the existing Confluence space content
- Develop articles and content for the monthly department newsletter
- Continually develop, refine, and maintain automate SRM processes and procedures
- Partner with other related functions outside of Cybersecurity, as needed, to execute on Cyber goals, objectives, projects, etc.
- Be selfmotivated and able to work independently without supervision
- Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Experience analyzing cybersecurity competitors' strategies and offerings
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Additional duties as assigned
