The opportunity
The Microsoft 365 Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of Microsoft 365 services. The administrator will focus on managing evergreen updates to ensure that the organization's Microsoft 365 applications are up-to-date with the latest features and security enhancements
How you'll spend your day
Oversee and manage the evergreen update process for Microsoft 365 applications, including Office 365, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online.
Monitor and evaluate evergreen updates to ensure they meet security, compliance, and operational standards.
Collaborate with IT teams to assess and mitigate risks associated with updates and changes.
Develop and maintain documentation related to evergreen management, including update schedules, testing protocols, and deployment strategies.
Provide technical leadership and operational support for the evergreen process across all major Microsoft 365 domains.
Ensure network readiness for new infrastructure updates and maintain service stability post-implementation.
Conduct app compatibility testing and user acceptance to gauge the impact of updates on the organization.
Participate in workshops and training sessions to stay informed about Microsoft 365 updates and best practices.
Your experience and qualifications
Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 Administrator or similar role.
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services and evergreen update management.
Ability to perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Familiarity with Microsoft's update channels and deployment methods.
Experience with app compatibility testing and user acceptance processes.
Certifications in Microsoft 365 or related fields.
Experience in managing large-scale updates in an enterprise environment.
This job description incorporates the management of evergreen updates as a key requirement for the role, ensuring that the organization's Microsoft 365 services are always current and secure.
