    Description

    Job Title: Linux Device Driver Developer

    Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad, India

    Experience: 4 to 6 years

    Job Description:

    We are looking for a skilled Linux Device Driver Developer to join our team based in either Bangalore or Hyderabad. In this role, you will be in charge of creating and maintaining Linux device drivers for different hardware components. Your main tasks will involve collaborating with various teams to smoothly integrate drivers into the Linux kernel and offer assistance for hardware enablement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain Linux device drivers for hardware components like storage devices, network interfaces, and peripherals.
    • Collaborate with hardware engineers to grasp device specifications and requirements.
    • Create drivers following Linux kernel coding standards and best practices.
    • Enhance drivers for better performance, reliability, and power efficiency.
    • Perform unit testing and debugging to guarantee proper driver functionality and stability.
    • Engage with the Linux kernel community to upstream drivers and partake in open-source projects.
    • Offer technical support to internal teams and customers related to driver issues and compatibility.
    • Stay informed about the latest advancements in Linux kernel and device driver technologies.

    Requirements:

    • Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Have 4 to 6 years of experience in Linux device driver development.
    • Possess expertise in C programming language and Linux kernel programming.
    • Demonstrate a profound comprehension of Linux kernel internals, device model, and driver framework.
    • Utilize kernel debugging tools like printk, kprobes, and kernel debuggers.
    • Be familiar with version control systems such as Git.
    • Showcase excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.
    • Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Previous involvement in open-source development and contribution would be advantageous.
