    Role Description :

    This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Java Software Engineer at Astria Digital, located in Bengaluru, with flexibility for some remote work.

    The Senior Java Software Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing software solutions, developing microservices, programming and using the Springboot Framework and Core Java.

    The Senior Java Software Engineer will also be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in code review, and fixing production issues.

    Qualifications :

    • Strong knowledge of software development, microservice architecture, and programming principles.
    • Expertise in the Spring Boot Framework and Java programming language.
    • Strong expertise with Frontend frameworks, specifically React JS.
    • Experience with software design, development, testing, and deployment methodologies.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Experience with technology modernization efforts.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
    Job Description :

    We are seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer with a solid foundation in software development, microservice architecture, and programming principles. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in the Spring Boot framework and the Java programming language, coupled with a strong understanding of frontend frameworks, particularly React JS.

    Responsibilities :

    • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot.
    • Implement microservice architecture principles to create modular, highly maintainable systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze user needs, and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Leverage frontend technologies, particularly React JS, to build responsive and intuitive user interfaces.
    • Perform code reviews, troubleshoot, and debug issues to ensure high-quality codebase.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices, and incorporate them into software development processes.
    • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering team.
    Requirements :
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • 4 - 8 years of professional experience in software development.
    • Strong proficiency in Java programming language and Spring Boot framework.
    • In-depth understanding of microservice architecture and its implementation.
    • Extensive experience with frontend frameworks, particularly React JS.
    • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Preferred Qualifications :

    • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
    • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
    • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
    • Experience working in Agile development methodologies.
    • Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.
