Business Master FileModernization (BMF Mod) is one of multiple programs created tomodernize the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) the legacy Taxprocessing systems and is critical to the IRS IT ApplicationDevelopment (AD) and IRS IT Enterprise Service (ES) organizationsgoal to support the objectives of the IRS IT Modernization BusinessPlan. BMF Mods initiative will modernize IRS systems and processesimprove taxpayer experience increase voluntary compliance andreduce the Services reliance on costly and unsustainable legacytechnology.
TaskDescription:
Provide support andassistance to design development integrate test and deploy amodernized BMF platform and also support daytoday Operations &Maintenance (O&M) work based on IRS priorities. Provide forproject management O&M development modernization enhancementssoftware development legislative changes and developmental O&Mupgrades.
Required skills/Level ofExperience:
At least 7 years ofdevelopment experience
At least 5 years withdevelopment experience in Mainframe environment
Experience with mainframe database and mainframe applications(COBOL Assembler)
Experience with ETL workflowcreation using Informatica
Experience withPL/SQL (or other database languages) Unix scripting Databases/NoSQL(ideally Oracle and MSSQL) AWS Cloud and datatransformation
Nice to haveskills:
Able to write Java Python orSpark/Scala scripts
Data Modeling
Able to create visualizations on DataSets using Looker orPower BI Mainframe/ Assembly language
Mainframe/ Assembly language
Education
Bachelorsdegree in computer science information technology or relatedfield.
