    Under general supervision by the Technical Manager, this employee will provide daily support to the direct sales force, representatives, and customers in the areas of API-610 Pumps and other pump applications, proposal development and order processing/management.

    Specifically, this includes review of API-610 pump specifications, proposal preparation, providing technical support to customers, interfacing with vendors, order processing and expediting.

    Responsibilities of the Applications Engineer include, but are not limited to:Review customer inquiries and specifications - Using the company Intelliquip quotation platform & other tools, prepare comprehensive professional proposals in a timely mannerLog pump proposals into Sales Force and keep database currentFocus is on generating proposals for new PumpWorks 610 products and other industrial pumpsHandle customer telephone and email inquiries as they come inMeet proposal due dates and provide completed pump proposals per the requirements of the customer including completing customer datasheets & bid documentsInterface with outside vendors to solicit quotes for equipmentEffectively process API-610 pump orders and manage any issues that arise during the project executionFunction as a liaison between operations and the customer as neededBe available to participate in sales team calls as part of the development processAssist PumpWorks representatives and agents with pump selections and provide proposals to support their inquiriesProvide technical support to customers and sales team on product selection & applications dealing with API 610 pumps and industrial pumpsAttend pre-award meetings or technical discussions as requiredCoordinate and schedule internal order KOM's as necessaryEffectively communicate with the team on account status, activity and issuesFollow up and record activity on proposals to resellers with goal of turning API-610 pump proposals into ordersActively participates in discussions on pricing strategies with sales managementDevelop effective rapport with customer contactsContinually strive to increase API-610 pump specifications, pump configurations and API-610 pump designTravel international and domestic as required to support sales team in customer meetings

    Qualifications of the

    Applications Engineer

    include, but are not limited to:Candidate must have 2-3 years of experience with API-610 pump proposal development and order processing/management associated with pumps and rotating equipmentCandidates having experience on tailoring proposals for high spec oil & gas end users as well as candidates having international experience will have added advantageTeam orientedStrong PC skills with Windows XP and Microsoft Office programsSelf-starter and highly motivatedGood organizational skillsAbility to juggle multiple tasksDemonstrate ability to establish relationships with customer baseExcellent communication skillsGood work ethic and positive attitude
