Overview
As a DevOps Architect, you are highly skilled and experienced and have a deep understanding
of public, private and hybrid cloud platforms. The DevOps Architect will play a key technical
role in the life cycle of projects and will have significant interaction with tech leads and
project managers. This also includes taking the lead role in planning solutions, technical
architecture and data modeling. In-depth knowledge of all DevOps stages, concepts and
practical experience in dealing with DevOps, SecOps, NetOps and leadership roles is a key
factor for this position.

Minimum Experience: 7+ Years

Preferred location:
Gurgaon (Hybrid)


Work Mode:
Hybrid for Gurgaon else Remote for other locations.

Work Time:

Normal IST Business hours, flexibility in time is preferred as the individual will be working with the team in the USA/UK overlap.

- 11 AM to 8 PM or 12 PM to 9 PM IST time shift will be good.


What does success look like?
A successful DevOps Architect, Infrastructure will have mastered the arts of:

  • Architecture: Successfully converted business requirements into roadmaps that deliver the right architecture and support of a modern Infrastructure.
  • Collaboration: Bridged the gap between Infrastructure SME's and other teams to understand business requirements and deliver highquality outcomes through coaching & mentoring on core Infrastructure concepts;
  • Operations: Effectively maintained/improved stability, integrity, and efficiency of Material'sinfrastructure by proactively identifying, strengthening, and eliminating single points of failures through collaboration with IT service owners and operations partners.
  • Point of escalation Leads the team through successful incident and problem resolution by direction and coordination during businesscritical incidents or outages.

Responsibilities:


Architecture

  • Design, build, and manage highly scalable, secure, and reliable cloudbased infrastructure using AWS, Azure cloud, and GCP
  • Use Infrastructure as a code to build the cloud infrastructure.
  • Plan, design, and implement network infrastructure to support cloudbased systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Review and optimize the cloud environment to ensure it is secure and in line with the corporate security policies and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to Business Continuity Plan by implementing or improving DR/HA on critical cloud workloads.
  • The person will be responsible for design, deployment and management of the source code repositories like Azure DevOps, Gitlab, Github, Bitbucket etc, hosted onprem/cloud/Saas.
  • Translate business/projects requirements and goals into technical solutions. Collaboration
  • Collaborate with in Material IT groups (DWT, INF, BA) to implement base lines for systems and networks, best practices and policies that support and optimized their respective environments
  • Influential and effective advisor and contributor to change management, minimizing risks that could be introduced to new or existing environments
  • Empower the team to safely execute changes in an interruptionfree manner using secure modern infrastructure capabilities
  • Promote quality work by bringing multidisciplinary skillset to help connect the dots with IT service owners, partners, and vendor.
