    Description

    Purpose of the role :

    The role holder will assess risk and oversee and ensure fire safety at Head Office, Regional Office and Schools.

    Roles & Responsibilities :

    • Identify all fire hazards and select appropriate fire prevention systems.
    • Maintaining the Stock of Fire Fighting & Safety equipment including PPE's. Preparing the SOP's of Fire Safety. Prepare & maintain the documents as per ISO: 9001, ISO: 14001 & ISO :45001
    • Ensure that all fire and safety equipment at HO and Schools are in working order
    • Make sure that there are well-developed plans for easy evacuation of people in a building in the case of a fire outbreak
    • Conduct fire safety checks as per stipulated timelines.
    • Preparing plans and executing (fire and life safety) evacuation drills and other fire safety related trainings to the team members and occupants available in the premises.
    • Assist in addressing any form of violation of safety codes within the organization and conduct

    investigation

    • Assist in leading the emergency response team for all facility issues.
    • Oversee fire compliance during construction of buildings and help in compliance with NBC and local fire laws.
    • Liaison with Government authorities for periodic renewal of the NOC's.
    • Create reports and collaborate with required stakeholders.

    Candidate Profile:

    • Diploma / Degree in Fire Engineering OR Fire Safety
    • 5-8 years of relevant experience
    • Must possess in-depth knowledge of relevant fire safety codes and regulations
    • Excellent communication skills (listening, spoken and written)
    • Must possess good interpersonal skills
    • Must be someone that is alert, observant and pays attention to detail
    • Must be a team player
