    Description

    Position: Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Digital Business

    Purpose: The incumbent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our mission-critical infrastructure and applications. The Senior SRE will drive, define, and implement best practices, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation within the team.

    Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    Experience: Overall 10+ years of experience as an SRE in a production environment.

    Location: Bengaluru

    Reporting Relationship: Head of Technology, Digital Business

    Business/Channel/Function: Digital

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leadership:

  • Mentor and guide junior SREs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Lead the design and implementation of new SRE methodologies and tools.
  • Advocate for SRE best practices across the organization.

    • Technical Expertise:

  • Design, implement, and maintain sophisticated monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure and applications.
  • Architect and build highly scalable and resilient infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Implement automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management.
  • Optimize system performance and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents impacting service availability and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in the SRE field.

    • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and ensure system reliability aligns with product goals.
  • Collaborate with other SREs and operations teams to ensure efficient and effective incident response.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to provide insights and update.

  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring SRE teams.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
