- develop machine programs according to customer specifications.
- offer standard and custom training to support Beckhoff products and projects
- documentation and recording of all project activity
- represent the organization in a professional, ethical, and socially responsible manner
- maintain a high degree of technical knowledge as required to fulfill the task remit
- evaluate territory performance and identify new business opportunities
- develop sales with OEM and end user customer accounts using appropriate product solutions
- successfully build relationships with current customer base and provide necessary sales support
- prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines while using sound business judgment
- advise customers on the proper selection, use, and maintenance of specific technology applications, and recommend training opportunities offered by Beckhoff
- educate new and existing customers on Beckhoff technology
- follow up on all marketing leads and provide feedback
- plan promotional events, presentations, and special projects, as assigned by the manager
- work with regional and corporate resources to develop and close on opportunities
- B.E./B.Tech. (E&TC, electronics, instrumentation, mechatronics)
- 2 to 5 years of experience
- understanding of PLCs, motion, drives, industrial PCs, distributed I/O, and HMI technology
- experience with IEC programming languages, including object oriented extensions
- experience with Windows, Windows Networking, and Microsoft Office applications
- a highly motivated self-starter with good organizational skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and work across a range of sectors
- a team player mentality that can also work independently
- ability to lift and transport demo equipment and hardware
- strong analytical and reasoning skills to collaborate in a fast-paced, action-oriented team
- previous technical training and/or Beckhoff Automation programming experience
- strong interpersonal, listening, questioning, presentation, and communication skills (written and oral)
