In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases.

These programs are funded by USAID, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, UNICEF, World Health Organization, University of Manitoba, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), MSD for Mothers and others.

Integrated Women in Health Network (iWin) is a MNCH project funded by Takeda Global CSR. With the existing government systems, Jhpiego aims to establish Client-Centered, Continuous and Coordinated Care. Jhpiego will support the government in strengthening existing capacity and establishing the quality management structures under the initiative.

Additionally, initiative will address systemic and operational challenges in the delivery of MNH care by leveraging new advancements, appropriate technology solutions, and financial mechanisms to create a robust and replicable "maternal and child health care system".

Under the Project iWin, Jhpiego is hiring for Data Base Associate based at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and Pune, Maharashtra, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The position will report to Sr. IT Officer.

Responsibilities:

Create and standardise design for database structure
Create standard procedures to enhance scalability and performance of existing database architecture.
Troubleshoot complex database issues in accurate and timely manner.
Maintain database disaster recovery procedures to ensure continuous availability and speedy recovery.
Ensure that database is developed according to business requirements in any database.
Prepare reports on database scalability and capacity planning as needed.
Identify and resolve database issues related to performance and capacity.
Develop best practices for performance and operational efficiency.
Ensure database management and maintenance tasks are performed effectively.
Provide regular updates to management on database project status.
Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
Ensure Data Migration with Various Databases.
Assist and support other team members on multiple projects.
Drive team members to keep up with projects deadlines and complete projects within the department's requirements.
Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies.
Ensure compliance with the documented software processes and procedures throughout the life cycle of software products.
Any other tasks assigned by the DD (IT).

Required Qualifications:

Abilities/Skills:

Strong knowledge of Stored Procedures, SQL, MYSQL & SQL Server 2005/2008/2012, Oracle, Functions, Triggers, Jobs, Stored Procedures, MVC Framework.
Self-Starter, Dynamic & able to handle large database.
Generate needbased MIS reports from backend.
Ensure database backup and security as per DoIT standards.
Strong discipline towards the software development process, Coding Standards & Organizational Processes.
Minimum 6 to 8 years' experience in RDBMS in MySQL
Percona MySQL galera cluster,
Multimaster for high availability and load balancing
ProxySQL for readwrite split Async replication between primary and secondary database cluster.
MySQL server and cluster Installation
Greenplum server and cluster installation
Apache Kafka and cluster installation
Multimaster Kubernetes and container deployment
Elastic Search node and cluster installation
Data center management
Good understanding of infrastructure technologies
Application troubleshooting
Docker containers and Kubernetes for management
Configuration driven deployment
Nginx as reverse proxy

Qualifications/Knowledge and Experience:

Bachelors in
BE/BTECH/MCA
IT/Computers, or any other recognized equivalent degree with specialization in Computers/IT.
810 years of relevant fulltime work experience with supported documents.
Exposure to Health and/or eGovernance domain will be an added advantage.
Microsoft certification (MCTS/ MCPD/ MCAD/ MCSD) will be an added advantage.
