    Lead Assistant Manager- Analytics(SQL Developer)


    Role Overview :

    • The person will be part of a data services team for a major Insurance client.
    • He/ She will work with different stakeholders to define solutions for operationalizing datadriven decision making in a cost effective and scalable manner
    • The person will also be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions for improvement opportunities and take it to completion while working in an agile framework
    • A suitable candidate should have 2+ years of experience as a database developer and should possess a go getter attitude.
    • He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity
    • Experience in insurance preferred but not mandatory

    • Superior analytical and problem solving skills
    • Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision
    • Good communication skill for client interaction
    • Application development Skill sets :
    • Strong computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, multithreading, object-oriented development, distributed applications, client-server architecture
    • Ability to design and implement data processes :
    • Strong SQL and work experience with MS SQL, or UDB.
    • Strong experience with Stored Procedures
    • Expand and optimize data pipelines, data flow, and collection for cross functional teams
    • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture by assembling large, complex data sets to meet functional and nonfunctional business requirements.
    • Identify and implement internal process improvements including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability.
    • Support the building of data platforms, and infrastructure required for optimal data extraction, transformations, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
    • Work with architecture, data, and design teams to assist with data related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs.
    Desirable skills, but not required :

    • SSIS
    • ETL/ELT
    • AWS exposure
    • Denodo exposure
    • Some Mainframe Development background
    • Experience in web services, streaming and messaging technologies is a plus

    Candidate Profile :

    • Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas welcome to apply
    • 2+ years' experience in database development, preferably in Life Insurance but not mandatory
    • Advance Proficiency with SQL and Stored Procedures in distributed environment.

    • Superior analytical and problem solving skills
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
    • Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
