    Role :
    Head of Engineering

    Our client, a burgeoning fintech startup, is seeking a visionary and dynamic Head of Engineering to lead the technical direction and development of a new, ground-breaking financial product from scratch.

    This role is an unparalleled opportunity to be at the forefront of innovating within the fintech space, crafting a product that aims to redefine user experiences in financial services.


    Responsibilities :

    • Leadership and Strategy: Direct the engineering department, setting a clear vision and strategy for the development and launch of the product.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability within the team.
    • Product Development : Oversee the endtoend technical development of the product, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality, user experience, and security.
    • Team Building : Attract, hire, and retain toptier engineering talent.
    • Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Collaboration : Work closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders to align technical capabilities with business goals, ensuring seamless integration and a unified direction for the product.
    • Technology Selection : Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms that will best serve the product's longterm vision and scalability requirements.
    • Quality Assurance : Implement best practices in software development, testing, and maintenance to ensure the product is reliable, scalable, and secure.
    • Market Awareness : Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in fintech, incorporating innovative solutions that can provide a competitive edge to the product.

    Qualifications :

    • Experience : Minimum of 12 years in software engineering, with significant leadership experience in building and scaling highperforming engineering teams.
    • Prior experience in a product company is essential.
    • Fintech Acumen : Experience in the fintech sector is highly desirable.
    • A proven track record of developing financial technologies or products will be a significant plus.
    • Technical Expertise : Broad and deep understanding of modern software development practices and architectures, with the ability to make informed decisions on technology stacks and frameworks.
    • Leadership : Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams towards achieving complex technical goals.
    • Communication : Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical visions to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
    • Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a creative mindset for overcoming challenges and driving innovation.
