    Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated L2 Unix Support Engineer to join our IT team.

    You will play a critical role in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues within our Unix environment.

    This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively to ensure system uptime and stability.

    Responsibilities :

    Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex Unix system issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Leverage strong Unix knowledge and command proficiency to navigate the system effectively.

    Develop, maintain, and execute shell scripts for automation and system administration tasks.

    Utilize GIT, SVN, or other version control systems for code management.

    Demonstrate an understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes.

    Possess basic SQL knowledge to interact with databases for troubleshooting purposes. Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) is a plus.

    (Optional: Specify desired cloud platform)

    Familiarity with Core Java and C++ programming languages is a plus.

    Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues is a plus.

    Maintain clear and concise documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain best practices.

    Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., development, operations) to resolve system issues.

    Possess excellent communication skills to clearly document issues, communicate solutions, and escalate when necessary.

    Maintain a positive and professional attitude with a strong commitment to delivering results.

    Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies is a plus. (Optional: Specify desired Agile methodologies)

    Technical Skills (Must Have) :

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Strong Unix knowledge and commands (e.g., shell commands, file manipulation, system administration tools). Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Ksh, etc.).

    Experience with a version control system (GIT, SVN, etc.).

    Technical Skills (Nice to Have) :

    Basic SQL knowledge.

    Experience with cloud environments.

    Core Java and C++ programming experience.

    Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting.

    Knowledge of CI/CD tools and code deployment processes.

    Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.

    Personal Qualities :

    Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    Positive attitude and commitment to excellence.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Eager to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.

    Strong Analytical & problem solving skills and sql, pl sql/oracle

    - Very strong Unix knowledge and commands

    - Python/Perl/Shell Scripting

    - Experience with GIT, SVN & SDLC process

    - Basic SQL knowledge

    - Experience with cloud, Core Java and C++ is a plus

    - Familiarity with hardware uplift a plus

    - Strong communication

    - Positive Attitude with good commitment levels

    - Familiarity with Agile project management is a plus
