    FMEA Tool Support Engineer

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The position of DFMEA support Engineer is responsible for supporting the initiation, management, and successful completion of DFMEA in Plato e1ns. This role includes creation of catalogue, data development in Plato e1ns, supporting strategies, documentation and support whenever required. Engineer will work in developing and incorporating lessons learned into generic DFMEA templates for common products, and support implementation of industry leading DFMEA methods into Tenneco global DFMEA standards.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • FMEA Support Engineer: Support development and implementation of the Tenneco FMEA process to the regional organization.
    • Tracing FMEA tool needs and developing strategies for the Global organization.
    • Ensuring consistencies in content, nomenclature within Plato e1ns database
    • Configuration and Management of Plato e1ns database
    • Documentation of Configuration & Management of Plato e1ns database
    • Ensuring data development & maintenance in Plato e1ns adhering to DFMEA management procedure
    • Accountable for ensuring FMEA tool are completed to Tenneco FMEA standards and quality.
    • Interface with customers as FMEA Process and FMEA Tool expert
    • Work extensively as a mentor support to provide guidance and training to Regional DFMEA Facilitators/DFMEA Users
    • Support Plato e1ns related problem-solving activities to ensure DFMEA documents up to the mark.
    • Manage and maintain Tenneco FMEA software tools and templates and develop strategies for conversion into customer specified FMEA formats.
    • Conduct continuous improvement activities such as template management, new methods development, and integration of industry standard FMEA process enhancements.
    • Flexible to support different time zone shifts in between NA and EU in working time.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    SOFTWARE SKILLS NEEDS:

    • Plato e1ns FMEA Tool
    • DFMEA Excel Worksheet Tool

    SKILL AND EXPERIENCE NEEDS:

    • requirement is a Bachelor of Engineering with at least 2 years' experience.
    • Engineering background
    • Knowledge on AIAG VDA FMEA Process and SAEJ1739 FMEA Process
    • written and verbal communication skills
    • of OE Customer CSRs
    • to industry standards, company procedures and customer requirements.
