    About this role:

    The Website Insight and Optimisation Specialist is a crucial role within the Weir Minerals' marketing team.This individual will be responsible for collecting and analysing marketing data to provide valuable insights and recommendations that will drive strategic initiatives and website improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing analytics, especially the use and interrogation of Google Analytics data, in addition to utilising testing platforms such as VWO. This individual shouldpossess excellent quantitative and analytical skills and is adept at translating data into actionable insights.

    Reporting directly to the Global Marketing Manager (Brand & Digital), this role will manage all content, user journey and functionality testing on behalf of Weir Minerals. The website Insight and Optimisation Specialist will work both cross-functionally, within our global website team and as a member of our global marketing team.Possessing a natural curiosity, a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of marketing metrics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

    The key responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret marketing data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and key insights.
  • Evaluate campaign performance to identify opportunities and provide recommendations for optimising marketing and brand strategies.
  • Perform segmentation and targeting analysis to identify and understand customer segments and their behaviours.
  • Utilise statistical techniques and multivariate testing to generate data-driven insights that inform marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Agree testing hypothesis with key stakeholders and manage fortnightly optimisation initiatives - reporting, communicating, and documenting the results once complete.
  • Manage all Weir Minerals' digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, VWO, Qualaroo, Microsoft Clarity and Power BI) – undertaking regular reviews and proposing changes to the Divisional tech stack where appropriate.
  • Establish streamlined methods of continuous reporting and partner these reports with targeted investigations – this role will then lead communication to senior stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing analytics.

    • To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, research & analytics, or a similar discipline
  • 2+ years' experiencein using analytics platforms such as Google Analytics.
  • The ability to use Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools to manipulate and analyse large data sets.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) to create visually appealing and informative reports.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with the capacity to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategies.
  • UK applications must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
