KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Clinical Governance:


Work closely with State Clinical Services Manager (SCSM) and clinical services team to ensure that MSI's clinical governance standards and guidelines are followed by all service delivery teams.

This includes supporting the SCSM in organizing quarterly state Medical Advisory Team (MAT) meeting (preparing agenda, meeting logistics, report of the meeting, action plan and facilitate implementation of the action plan).

Track the monthly meetings done in centres and outreach and ensure that all clinical issues like clinical incidents, IQA/QTA findings, supportive supervision findings, staff training etc.

are discussed and appropriate actions taken.

Training:


Support and manage training/capacity building of clinical services team including - conducting training needs assessments; develop training calendars; identify training resources required; assist in preparation of training materials - manuals; session plans; materials etc; conduct training programs/sessions; ensure trainings are conducted as planned and outcomes documented.

This includes coordinating capacity building for government ANMs on IUCD techniques.

Incident management:

Support the SCSM in notifying incidents as per MSI guidelines.

Maintain record of incidents, collect documents pertaining to service and treatment of the client, facilitate preparation of investigation reports and action plans and disseminate action plans and feedback from MDT to service delivery teams.

Track the action plans and facilitate their implementation.

Clinical Audits:


Organize Internal Quality Audits (IQA) of centres and outreach in field areas, feed the data in the format/computer and prepare action plans, and follow up action plans and facilitate their implementation.

Conduct IQA's

Client Record Audit:

Collect reports of monthly client record audit from the field and collate them and prepare summary reports.

Competency Assessment:

Maintain a data base of clinical team members of all centres and outreach teams. Coordinate/schedule competency assessments, collect assessment reports and maintain assessment database. Keep a track of those who need follow ups and facilitate such follow ups. Conduct competency assessments as required.

Continuous Supportive Supervision (CSS):


Prepare reports under supervision of 'clinical services managers' on supervisory visits and feed it in the CSS log and prepare a summary.

As required provide CSS for clinical services teams.

  • Updating online CTD other softwarebased reporting system and reconciliation field data with CDT data base.
  • Support to district team to provide handholding to update their documents, meeting minutes and records. Visit to district and verify medical stocks, clinical records and orient team on the clinical protocols and guidelines.

Client Feedback and Exit Survey


Ensure that client feedback survey are being updated from field and analysis report being shared to district team to discuss the gap in the monthly meeting.

Stock Check
Complete the stock check process while visiting to FDS sites both COT and PSS.

External Audits:


  • Provide support in coordinating audits by FRHSI and other stakeholders.
  • Carry out supportive supervision and technical support field visits as per the program need.
  • Give support to the headquarter, whenever required.
  • Support PSS team and SCSM with technical and operational activities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • B.Sc. (Nursing), or any medical/paramedical with MPH, MBA in Hospital Management from a prestigious institution.
  • Interest in and a reasonable understanding of public health system in India in general, family planning and safe abortions in particular
  • Excellent computer skills
- word, excel and power point.

  • Excellent communication skills written and oral in English and Hindi; willingness to speak to relevant staffs in the field on daytoday basis and collect required information and documents.
  • Willingness to travel 3540% of the time to field areas.
