    Description

    Responsibilities :

    • Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and server infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.
    • Monitor system performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and optimize Linux servers to enhance efficiency and reliability.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls on Linux systems, adhering to security best practices and organizational policies.
    • Implement and manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and security patches to safeguard Linux environments against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages like Shell or Python and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet to streamline operations.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Linux systems seamlessly with network, storage, and virtualization technologies for enhanced functionality and performance.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to endusers and IT teams on Linuxrelated matters, offering assistance with troubleshooting and participating in various projects as needed.

    Requirements :

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in system administration principles.
    • Proven experience as a Linux system administrator, demonstrating proficiency in Linux server management, troubleshooting, and optimization.
    • Expertise in Linux operating systems such as Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu, along with a deep understanding of commandline utilities and system administration tasks.
    • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or KVM and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring versatility in managing diverse infrastructure environments.
    • Strong scripting and automation skills using Shell, Python, or similar languages to simplify administrative tasks and enhance operational efficiency.

    Skills :

    • Linux System Administration : Proficient in installing, configuring, and managing Linux servers to maintain optimal performance and reliability.
    • Troubleshooting : Skilled in diagnosing and resolving system issues and performance bottlenecks to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
    • Automation : Experienced in automating tasks and processes using scripting languages and configuration management tools to improve productivity and consistency.

    Collaboration :
    Capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional IT teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals and deliver effective solutions.


    Preferred :

    • Certification in Linux administration (e.g, LPIC, RHCSA, RHCE), validating expertise and proficiency in Linux system management.
    • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, facilitating efficient deployment and management of containerized applications.)
