    Title - Senior Software Engineer

    Location - Chennai

    Role - Fulltime

    Notice Period - Immediate

    Years of Experience - 6+

    Qualifications


    • Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related fields


    • 7+ years of experience development/support experience in Java/Scala


    • 5+ years of experience in developing SQL Queries and data analysis


    • 2+ years of experience in operation and securities trading services or related industries


    • 1+ years of experience working in private or public cloud


    • Middleware knowledge - Application servers, Web servers, MQ and Kafka


    • Experience working in Jira, Confluence, Splunk/Graylog, and New Relic or other APM tools


    • Experience in GIT for source code management


    • Experience Developing with Event Driven Architectures (Kafka)


    • Experience Developing in a Micro Service Architectures

    Responsibilities


    • The Operation Support Engineer will work as a Tier 3 production support engineer that directly impacts our clients and their customers


    • You will work closely with your Implementation , Platform development and Quality Assurance team members.


    • Support, develop, modify, debug and/or maintain software code according to functional, non-functional and technical design specifications


    • Support Production deployments and hot fixes


    • Perform problem identification, root cause analysis


    • Identify short/ long term defect resolutions


    • Daily monitoring of services health checks and building monitors


    • Security Vulnerability remediation


    • Analysis repeat incident patterns and identifying permanent fixes


    • Availability and performance management


    • Support Upgrades & Patching of the services


    • Periodic maintenance activities


    • Performs root cause analysis and utilizes internal defect tracking tool to create detailed, high quality error reports


    • Run the application in debug mode to recreate complex issues and decode underlying business logic


    • Continually evaluate our mission-critical wealth management SaaS application with an emphasis on stability and performance


    • Document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps in Confluence


    • Participate in on call rotation, including some week end support and hand-off of issues between onsite and offshore


    • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet' s established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls, and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk
