    This is a remote position.

    At STRIwe are hiring a ManagerMarketing and Communication position for aChennai based NGO. This is a remote workopportunity.

    We are looking for a Managerial candidate to join ourclients Marketing & Communications team. Your job willinvolve not only developing and implementing communicationstrategies but also actively engaging and managing people. You willbe responsible for managing some of the MarComms team members andalso a team of enthusiastic volunteers harnessing their skills toamplify NGOs messaging and impact.

    PrimaryResponsibilities:
    • Lead marketing campaigns for differentprogram teams with creativestrategies.
    • Strategise & review compellingmessaging and narratives for various channels like email campaignsblogs social media and PR.
    • Set up analyze and optimize ad campaigns foruser acquisition engagement andconversion.
    • Liaise with volunteers and other NGOs in ourecosystem for marketing and communicationsprojects.

    Requirements

    Education / Qualification:
    • Bachelors/Master sdegree in marketing journalism business or relatedfield
    • 5years of experience in a marketing communicationsrole.
    Requirements & Skills:
    • Outstanding writtenand verbal communication skills.
    • Prior managerial experience/teamleadingexperience is essential
    • Proficiency in social media and emailmarketing.

    Minimum 5-7 years of prior experience preferably inProject management Experience of running a start-up would be anadvantage Fundraising experience would be an advantage Priorvolunteering experience is mandatory. Any graduate Passionate aboutvolunteering and promoting volunteerism Should be resident ofChennai pincode 600018, or willing to relocate Good computerknowledge and MS office skills. Familiarity with using the Internet- doing online research, compiling and putting things together,Google Docs, Social Media, etc. Strong conceptual, planning,operational and analytical skills. Good interpersonal andpersuasive skills to engage a wide variety of stakeholders -citizens, bureaucrats, entrepreneurs, non-profit founders,policymakers, etc. Ability to manage and implement programs and getresults as the core focus Very responsive - quick to get back topeople, always available. Fluent in English and Tamil communication(written & spoken). Reliable& Dependable - punctual, goodat meeting deadlines, and taking ownership of the project and itsoutcomes.
