    The role is a Hardware Development Engineer position within the Lenovo Datacenter Product Group (DCG) in Bangalore, Karnataka. This role is part of the Server Development team that aims to be the top IT Partner in the Datacenter segment. Responsibilities include designing cutting-edge server solutions that align with customer and business requirements, utilizing the latest technologies to meet market needs and delivering custom solutions while engaging directly with clients.

    Required skills:

    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
    • 10+ years of experience in x86 architecture and hardware design, preferably in server design.
    • 7+ years of experience in EDA schematic design tools for PCB creation and implementation.
    • Proficiency in VHDL or Verilog programming, and creating test benches for FPGA logic verification.
    • Handling responsibilities for server system FPGA/CPLD development, verification, and maintenance.
    • Documenting design-related information accurately.
    • Collaborating with global hardware and firmware teams for issue resolution.
    • Simulation experience with FPGA logic, preferably using ModelSIM.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve medium to complex issues, and conduct low-level hardware validation.
    • Strong teamwork skills to co-develop server subsystems with fellow engineers.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for various tasks, including customer interactions and technical updates.

    Preferred skills:

    • Extensive experience in x86 architecture and hardware design, with a focus on server design.
    • Knowledge of embedded controllers (e.g., PSOC, microcontroller), including schematic design and programming logic.
    • Proficiency in Linux/Windows Operating systems, with experience in OS virtualization considered a plus.
    • Strong skills in shell scripting (BASH/Perl/Python and Windows Power Shell).
    • Collaboration on global projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Capability to provide executive updates through written reports and presentations.
