    Mission of the Role: A dynamic leader integral to the organization whose role is to ensure Information Systems technology meets the current and future needs of the business. The leader achieves this through collaboration with the functions, deep understanding of the business needs and priorities, portfolio management and demand prioritization, partnership with internal and external delivery partners for successful and consistent delivery strategy across stakeholder areas.

    Key accountabilities / How You Will Spend Your Days

  • Strategic Execution and Stakeholder Management:
  • Provide insights for development of IT strategies, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Develop and align IT Strategy with business and functional needs. Create a multiyear capability roadmap and enterprise architecture.
  • Act as the key liaison and esteemed consultant for functional stakeholders to define IT requirements and develop technology roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to enable competitive advantage through successful design & implementation of the tech roadmap.
  • Drive vendor performance, and lead contracts negotiations and vendor agreements, ensuring cost efficiency and SLA adherence.
  • Effective Application Landscape:
  • Lead the IT budgeting & resource planning, ensuring resource optimization.
  • Proactively engage with business leaders to identify opportunities and offer technology-driven solutions, enhancing business value and operation efficiency.
  • Drive the IT Applications map; evaluate tools coverage and deployment needs; assess existing solutions retrofit or tools decommissioning as necessary; understand market trends and suppliers' offerings.
  • Provide expert guidance to procurement teams through market benchmarking data, empowering them to secure enhanced agreements during license renewals or when evaluating alternative applications.
  • Collaborate closely with internal IT departments, including Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and PMO, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and security policies of each region. Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
  • IT Knowledge Management:
  • Facilitate the adoption of tools and processes across regions.
  • Drive training need Identification and training deliveries.
  • Establish knowledge communities with role-specific training resources and fostering shared learning among teams utilizing the tools collaborating with Human Resources as needed.
  • Advanced Solutions Delivery:
  • Facilitate comprehensive documentation of business requirements and need for expanding current tools or introducing new ones.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Partner with IT teams and external vendors to design, develop, and deploy technology solutions.
  • Lead the successful execution and delivery of solutions, IT initiatives for functions during various phases (design, construction, implementation etc.) by managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Prioritize systems needs/requests including cost benefit analysis
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive and sustain quality and act as a central point of contact for escalated issues.
  • Technology Adoption and Innovation:
  • Stay abreast of latest trends and advancements and promote adoption of emerging technologies and innovation solution to improve efficiency and drive business value
  • Continuously assess and identify opportunities to streamline processes, optimize tools, improve user experience within and across IT to boost productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Transformation Management - Define an approach for managing change across the business in coordination with the delivery of technology projects. Work with key stakeholders to develop a communication strategy, approach, and plan.
  • Periodic Reviews and Metrics Reporting: Engage with leadership to discuss upcoming IT initiatives and provide updates on application usage, execution lead times, quality, reworks / error rates and adoption rates on a regular basis.Ensure adherence to the budget and report on budget compliance. Conduct periodic reviews for the current solutions to align with corporate standards.
  • Building Effective Teams: Build, and retain a high-performing team. Establish performance metrics, KPIs and regularly assess team's performance. Foster a collaborative & inclusive work environment encouraging teamwork and innovation.
  • Key Performance Indicators

  • Resource Optimization: Business improvement initiatives, no. of non-compliances, spends within budget, etc.Improved CSAT Scores (Improved stakeholder experience)Adoption rates of current/ new systems (no. of users, usage of functionality, and reduction of support tickets)
  • Risk Management: Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks and successful business cases delivered, and solutions identified.
  • Cost Optimization in IT Spend for HR and Legal department: Achieve cost optimization in overall IT spend for HR, Legal & PMO departments through application rationalization based on usage and business value.
  • IT Support Cost Reduction: Optimize support cost by leveraging cross-skilling within the IT team, allowing support personnel to handle multiple systems and issues efficiently.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver projects supporting HR, Legal & PMO initiatives as per timeline, quality, and cost parameters.
  • Employee Productivity improvement: Collaborate with business to Identify and implement IT initiatives in HR, Legal & PMO processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual tasks leading to improvement in overall employee productivity in identified areas.
  • IT Security Enhancement & Risk Management: Collaborate with IT Security team and relevant stakeholders to implement additional security measures thereby reducing the overall IT security risk exposure for HR and Legal systems.
  • Target CSAT Score Improvement: Achieve increased user satisfaction score based on regular surveys conducted with HR and Legal employees.
  • Improving System Uptime and Availability: Upgrade outdated, unsupportive IT Infrastructure & Software, supporting HR, Legal & PMO operations, with latest technology to improve system uptime and availability to 99%
  • Key Year One Deliverables:

  • Driving cost optimization and digital transformation initiatives
  • Ensure regular updates to functional and technical roadmaps, with at least one version published annually.

  • Technical Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and third-party service providers.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT infrastructure operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
