- Product Architecture Design: Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of electronics hardware architectures for industrial safety products, with a focus on burner controllers, flame sensing systems, and associated subsystems.
- Burner Controller Development: Design and optimize burner control systems, incorporating advanced features for precise temperature control, safety interlocks, and real-time monitoring to ensure safe and efficient operation in industrial settings.
- Flame Sensing Technology Integration: Integrate various flame sensing technologies, such as optical, ultraviolet (UV), and infrared (IR) sensors, into hardware architectures to enable accurate and reliable flame detection in diverse industrial applications.
- Safety-Critical Design: Apply expertise in safety-critical design principles and methodologies to architect hardware solutions that prioritize safety, reliability, and fault tolerance, meeting or exceeding industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Component Selection and Validation: Identify, evaluate, and select electronic components, sensors, and actuators suitable for industrial safety applications, considering factors such as performance, reliability, environmental conditions, and regulatory compliance.
- System Integration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, firmware developers, and system integrators, to ensure seamless integration of hardware architectures with software/firmware components and overall system functionality.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure hardware architectures adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications applicable to industrial safety products, actively participating in certification processes and audits as necessary.
- Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk analysis and implement effective mitigation strategies to address potential hardware failures, hazards, or safety concerns, minimizing risks and ensuring the safety and reliability of our products.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in electronics hardware product development, with a specific focus on industrial safety products, burner controllers, and flame sensing technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of burner control systems, flame sensing technologies, and safety-critical design principles.
- Proficiency in schematic design, PCB layout, and circuit simulation tools (., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, SPICE).
- Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems, and communication interfaces (., SPI, I2C, UART, HART, Modbus, Profnet ).
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (., UL, IEC, FM, TUV, NFPA) governing industrial safety products and certifications UL, SIL3 IEC
- Design knowledge with respect to EMI/EMC & Fixing EMC issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
