    Job Description
    The Channel Programs Specialist plays a crucial role in analyzing and maintaining an overarching view of channel partner and service vendor network performance, capacity, and capabilities to support regional sales and service teams effectively. Collaborating with regional key account managers, they analyze options, oversee the implementation of partner performance schemes to boost product and service growth, manage data across multiple systems, facilitate changes in market routes, and provide the necessary support tools for Smiths and external partners to efficiently operate indirect channels and a service vendor repair network.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Research, analyze, map, rank, and keep an updated picture of the global channel partner (distributor) and service vendor performance, footprint, and capacity.
    • Assist regional teams in partner performance scoring activities, identify channel performance and service vendor shortcomings, coverage issues, and capacity constraints, and outline sales and service plans to address them.
    • Analyze data trends, recommend immediate corrective actions including sales strategies, partner inventory levels, and aging.
    • Manage tiered incentive programs and tools to enhance revenues and profits from indirect channels, oversee their implementation, and identify areas for improvement to enhance partners' services or internal efficiencies.
    • Create and maintain a risk and opportunity register for the partner landscape, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities in each region.
    • Establish a global schedule for third-party contract renewals and remind contract owners to initiate renewals promptly for a smooth process.
    • Compile information to facilitate channel partner and service vendor approvals processes and offer status reports on approvals.

    The Individual

    • Offer data, costing, and financial models to support assessments for changing market routes, and contribute to business cases in collaboration with regional and functional stakeholders.
    • Deliver monthly reports on partner performance, sales, pipeline, and other identified KPIs.
    • Manage and organize data and materials in partner portals, CRM, SAP, Service Management, and IT systems.
    • Act as a primary point of contact, providing assistance and training to internal sales teams and key departments on channel management tools, processes, and portals.
    • Assist in analyzing, documenting, and executing future initiatives, working as part of a larger project team.
