    As a Software Development Manager at Mouser, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and support of a specific functional area under broad direction, ensuring smooth operations, and team management. If you are passionate about leading a talented team, optimizing systems, and maximizing performance, this role might be perfect for you.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Evaluates, establishes, and assigns work priorities by analyzing cost and time requirements.
    • Plans and evaluates future needs while addressing current requirements.
    • Assists team members in development and planning by reviewing current processes and application functionality.
    • Ensures understanding of user needs and project impact by reviewing team submissions.
    • Confirms project tracking and timely completion using project tracking software.
    • Monitors and reviews projects regularly to ensure objectives are met.
    • Verifies compliance with policies and procedures by auditing team documents.
    • Keeps management informed of project status by providing regular updates.
    • Enhances system performance by evaluating and recommending software packages.
    • Resolves issues through research and corrective actions.
    • Monitors system performance periodically to ensure efficiency.
    • Improves procedures and documentation for program applications.
    • Supports 24-hour management through participation in project rotations.
    • Develops and leads the team to achieve goals through training and feedback.
    • Conducts performance appraisals and manages team capabilities.
    • Manages day-to-day operations to meet company objectives.
    • Maintains effective internal and external relationships.
    • Ensures confidentiality and demonstrates ethical business practices.
    • Collaborates with management on strategic initiatives.
    • Adheres to attendance and performance standards.

    SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

    • Technical expertise in Software development on Distributed platforms.
    • Strong design, application development, and project management skills.
    • Goal-oriented with high analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
    • Self-managing and initiative-driven with interpersonal skills.
    • Keen on staying updated with industry trends and technologies.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

    • Minimum 3 years of managerial experience.
    • Minimum eight years of IT software development experience.
      • 5 years of project management experience.
    Experience in Agile Software Development, preferred experience in Cobol, EDI, and Java.
