    Job Description

    Bhumi's Skill-Edprogramme improves employability of youth by upskilling that widens theircareer opportunities and secures a sustainable livelihood. Skill-Ed is focussedon IT and soft-skills training.

    An idealcandidate for this position should have a strong background in tech skillingand programme management.
    The AssociateDirector will be responsible for efficient and effective running of theprogramme and for driving the overall strategic direction of the program. Theywill have to ensure 10x more youth in sustainable careers over the next 3years.

    PrimaryResponsibilities include:

  • Identify theskills that are currently in demand in the industry and ensure we build thecurriculum that provides exposure and hands-on training for the youth .
  • Oversee theefficient and effective day-to-day operations including effective delivery ofthe sessions, assessments, impact evaluation, volunteer mobilisation,communication, budgeting & finance.
  • Buildstructures, systems to support the execution of the programmes with a focus oncontinuous learning, improvement, and rapid growth.
  • Collaborate withAcademic Institutions, NGOs, corporates, funders, government & thecommunity to increase the reach and impact of the programmes
  • Collaborate withCorporate entities for placement of skilled youth in relevant careers withreasonable pay and accountability for 50% placements of the upskilled studentsin relevant careers
    • OtherResponsibilities include:
  • Create Learningand Development programs for the trainers to ensure they are updated and alsobuilding in-house capacity of taking up new industry advancements.
  • Collaborate withBhumi teams and partner NGOs who work with similar beneficiaries and extend supportfor upskilling them
  • Collaborate withthe Bhumi's civic and corporate volunteering teams to maximise volunteerengagement
    • PreferredEducation Qualification / Experience:
  • Minimum 10 yearsof experience in skill-development and at least 2 -3 years in tech skilling
  • Prior experiencein project management and leading teams is mandatory.
  • Any Graduate.

  • Should beentrepreneurial, have a growth mindset, excited by challenges and open tolearning
  • Should have angood understanding of either IT Skilling or the Skilling eco-system generallyor both
  • Strongleadership development and team building capabilities
  • Ability to driveoutcome-oriented plans through the team's collective effort
  • Good influencingskills , people engagement, networking and listening skills
  • Good written andverbal communication skills
  • Highlyresourceful team-player, who is self-driven with high ownership
  • Forward lookingthinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Willingness totravel – locally and nationally
