    You will be working as Sales Support Specialist at global grade 14 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Measurement & Analytics division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Sales Support Manager and will be responsible for supporting the sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area.

    Your responsibilities

    • Supporting the local Sales organization or customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers
    • Providing technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations, negotiations and offer product or solution related training
    • Preparing or supporting the preparation of technical or commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local business unit or feeder factory indications and sales organization directives
    • Providing information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participate in the risk review assessment
    • Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the sales organization
    • Performing lost proposal analysis, identify the potential causes, and recommend future actions in cooperation with the Sales or Local Business Unit to obtain better future results

    Your background

    • B.E or B. Tech in Instrumentation or Electronics
    • Minimum 3 to 7 years of relevant work experience in sales support, bids and proposal
    • Exposure and understanding of the industrial processes - Power Plant, Water, Metals & Minerals, Oil & Gas, Pulp Paper, ISA, API, ANSI or ASME, ISO, IEC and PIP
    • Experience in product selection and configuration, quotation preparation, technical document compliance, vendor coordination, Full-Cost Model calculation and technical query clarification
