    Role Description

    The opportunity

    Unity's Accounting team is looking to hire a Senior Accountant that will be an integral part of our accounting team. This role will have an immediate impact on our month-end close process as well as strengthening our overall reconciliation process. The ideal candidate will have an opportunity work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

    This position requires working during late evening hours from 2 PM to 11 PM (IST), with a 1-hour lunch break included. Are you available to work during these Non-Shift hours?

    What youll be doing

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with precision, including the preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliation schedules.
  • Conduct thorough research and documentation of accounting treatments for non-standard revenue transactions in accordance with US GAAP .
  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of Unity's financial close procedures, and provide assistance with monthly reporting and flux analysis .
  • Aid in the creation of consolidated financial statements , footnotes, and SEC deliverables, ensuring they meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements and automation efforts, maintain standard operating procedures, and support audit requirements while assisting management with special projects and ad-hoc tasks.

    • What were looking for

  • Chartered Accountant, or equivalent certification required
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606, Revenue from Contract with Customers
  • Strong team player that is willing to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Superb communication skills, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of excel at an intermediate level

    • You might also have

  • Experience with BI Systems, Salesforce, Zuora Revenue, Workday Financials and/or NetSuite
  • Ability to work with team members spread across multiple locations.
  • Proven attention to detail and eager to learn and try new things
