    Maintains the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and oversees month-end closing operations for various legal entities within a specific region. Examines designated account reconciliations, establishes, documents, and enhances accounting procedures and processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manages month-end closing tasks and prepares financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other accounting documents.
    • Develops and manages records of all general ledger accounts and all necessary monthly and quarterly journal entries for the monthly close process; enters journal entries, reconciles all accounts, and investigates reconciling items.
    • Ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., U.S. GAAP, SOX, and local regulations) and participates in interim and year-end audits with internal and external auditors.
    • Prepares, records, and analyzes accounting transactions.
    • Guides and supervises other members of the accounting team as needed; acts as the subject matter expert in developing and maintaining training resources.
    • Coordinates the setup of new general ledger accounts, dimensions, and integrations into the ERP system; identifies and documents process enhancements.
    • Contributes to moderately complex projects.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Relevant Accounting certification preferred.
    • Minimum Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
    • Key Skills and Competencies: Broad understanding of accounting practices and principles, strong analytical abilities, advanced Excel and database skills, advanced experience with ERP systems.
    • Equivalencies: Candidates with 2+ years of experience in financial close activities (preparing financial statements, account reconciliations, and journal entries) or roles in public accounting along with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field will be considered.

    Position Specific Information:

    • Travel Requirements: Some travel may be necessary—up to 20%.
    • Able to telework: Yes—adopting a hybrid work model.
