Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
Encourage critical thinking and problemsolving skills through handson activities, group discussions, and individualized instruction.
Assess student learning through regular formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary units and share best practices for enhancing student achievement.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in mathematics education and pedagogical techniques.
Actively participate in departmental meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Valid teaching certification/license in Mathematics (or eligibility to obtain certification).
Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level (middle school or high school).
Strong knowledge of mathematics content, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
Proficiency in technology integration to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Passion for mathematics education and a desire to inspire students to become lifelong learners.
