    Purpose: This position mainly responsible to handle all direct taxation related matters, mitigates risk related to taxation and compliances with UPL, other subsidiaries in closing of its books of accounts.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Chartered Accountant Relevant Experience: 6-8 Years

    Business Understanding: Managed taxation in manufacturing or a person with significant consulting experience.

    Knowledge Behavioural Skills Taxation Related Laws - India Specific International Taxation Transfer Pricing Analytical Skills Good eye for details Effective communication skills Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and drafting skills Proactive and self-driven

    Key responsibilities:
    1 Tax planning & Advisory 25%
    a. Develop and maintain a tax efficient system.
    b. Drive process improvements by introducing automation wherever possible
    c. Preparing Monthly MIS and Update progress of Tax cases pending at various appellate levels.
    d. Guide various business teams on direct tax implications on various strategic decisions as well day to day decisions.
    e. Analysis of the changes in laws, regulations, accounting principles, judicial pronouncements and interpret its tax implications for all the companies in group

    2 Operations & Compliance 75%
    a. Preparation of Advance Tax estimates and reporting to the management along with all tax balances
    b. Preparation of Computation of Income and filing of Annual Income Tax returns for all companies under the group within the stipulated timelines
    c. Getting the tax audits done and obtaining other certificates from Auditors within the stipulated timelines
    d. Attending tax related matters, assessment proceedings, filing appeals
    e. Collation of the information required for Filing Return of Income / Assessment
    f. Proceedings / Appellate Proceedings by interaction with various Departments.
    g. Drafting of notes for Assessment / Appellate Proceedings
    h. Drafting of Appeals / Rectification Letters and other correspondence with Income Tax Department.
    i. Compilation of paper book for submission before CIT(A) and ITAT
    j. Coordinating with Consultants for Tax Opinions and Appeals
    k. Analysis of transactions with respect to Transfer Pricing on regular basis
    l. Preparing Transfer Pricing Documents and completing other compliances related to Transfer Pricing.
    m. Follow up for Income Tax refunds, rectifications, appeal effects, etc.
    n. Interaction with statutory auditors as regards tax matters having an implication on the financials.
    o. Advising on applicability of Withholding tax rate in case of foreign remittances and obtaining 15CB certificates from Auditors.
