    Job Summary:

    As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, managing and maintaining end-user devices, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure the efficient functioning of an organization's IT systems.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Respond promptly to user inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
    Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals including LAN and Wi-Fi.
    Provide technical guidance and assistance to end-users, both on-site and remotely.
    Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components, including CPUs, RAM, hard drives, and graphics cards.
    Manage inventory of IT assets, including tracking, ticketing and documentation.

    Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux).Install, update, and maintain software applications, including antivirus and productivity tools.

    Assist with software license management and compliance.
    Assist with VPN setup and troubleshooting for remote users.
    Implement and enforce security policies, including password management and data protection.
    Assist with compliance audits and adhere to data privacy regulations.
    Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and IT assets.
    Create and update technical documentation and user guides.
    Provide basic training to end-users on IT systems and applications.
    Promote IT security awareness and best practices among employees.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), office applications, and common software.

    Knowledge of firewall management, Active Directory (AD), Domain Name System (DNS), and network concepts.
    Familiarity with Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certifications.
    Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and cloud-based productivity tools such as Office 365 is advantageous.

    Working Conditions:
    This position may require occasional after-hours and weekend work.
    Physical demands may include lifting and moving computer equipment.
