- Lead and manage projects related to regulatory reporting, including but not limited to Basel III, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II, EMIR, and other relevant regulations.
- Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including finance, risk management, legal, compliance, and IT, to gather requirements and implement solutions for regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable project tasks and deliverables.
- Identify and assess project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, workshops, and status reviews, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and technology infrastructure, to optimize project delivery and achieve desired outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, standards, and best practices, including documentation, change control, and quality assurance.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in project management, with a focus on regulatory reporting projects within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements, such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, MiFID II, EMIR, FATCA, and CRS.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting systems, data models, and technology platforms used in financial institutions (e.g., Axiom, Wolters Kluwer, Moody's Analytics).
- Excellent project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas to diverse audiences, including senior management and regulatory authorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Leadership qualities, including decision-making, conflict resolution, and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a focus on project objectives and deadlines.
