    In Decathlon Technology India, we have established a big sizable team of technology experts who are accelerating the journey of digital transformation to become DIGITAL GIANT. We want to welcome more hands on the team who are stronger than us to go even faster on some key strategies linked to transformation.

    Our Technology teams are responsible for BUILD, MAINTAIN & SUPPORT of all the applications used by our internal and external users for ONLINE/OFFLINE business. We have our in-house built Self Checkout Application for offline shopping, Headless commerce (Mobile/Desktop) application for online shopping, interactive applications for playground, events booking, connectors for integrating with external marketplaces, 3rd party integrators for a sport eco-system experience and several robust services for transport management (last mile delivery), order management, back office operations and fintech. Additionally, we have many SaaS applications integrated with our systems to gain time to market and test the real desire of our customers. Many projects are lined in the direction of Mobile Application, Circular economy, Omni experience and Innovations in Digital Technology.

    Role overview,

    As the Application Development Team Lead, you'll orchestrate the success of our technology initiatives, reshaping the retail landscape. You will inspire and lead a team of accomplished functional and technical professionals, cultivating a culture of innovation, customer-centricity, and impactful project delivery. Your role demands a blend of technical prowess and outstanding leadership skills.

    Your main responsibilities includes,

    Lead with Impact: Guide and mentor techno functional analysts, project managers, software developers, quality analysts, and application support engineers fostering their growth and ensuring project excellence.

    • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate across departments to define project goals, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Budget-Conscious Delivery: Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered within approved budgets while maintaining exceptional quality and adoption
    • Vendor Partnership: Collaborate with software application development vendors, leveraging their expertise to enhance project outcomes.
    • Innovative Solutions: Leverage your technical acumen to drive innovative solutions that resonate with business requirements.
    • Stakeholder Relations: Manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, transparent updates, and expectation management.
    • Customer-Centric Mindset: Champion user-centric approaches, ensuring our technology aligns with seamless customer experiences.
    • Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with senior leaders to execute technology strategies aligned with our organizational goals

    Qualifications :

    • 5 to 8 years of proven experience in Retail Technology.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

    Skills:

    Project Management

    • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing teams, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
    • Exceptional project management skills - SDLC, including planning, prioritization, resource allocation and budgeting.

    Technical

    • Proficiency in Retail Technologies like POS, Omni Channel Solutions, In-Store Clienteling Applications, Payment Solutions, Self Check-Out and Mobile Check-out Solutions, RFID Technologies, Supply Chain for Retail, In-Store Inventory Management, Loyalty Programs etc.
    • Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
    • Knowledge of Kafka architecture, data streaming concepts, and experience with Kafka cluster setup and configuration.
    • Familiarity with XML and Json data structures, parsing, and manipulation techniques.
    • Work experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
