    Skills:

    We are looking for an experienced Mechanical/Electrical engineer with good experience in the electric vehicle industry for our LV battery and EDU Team.

  • Knowledge on 12V & 48V battery and its functionality.
  • Knowledge on Battery system & its application used f or (PHEV/MHEV/BHEV).
  • Good work experience on Battery Vent tubes & cooling system and manufacturing Feasibility.
  • Knowledge of Homologation, Grade, EMC requirements & tests involved.
  • Good knowledge of DFMEA & DV/PV.
  • Ability to understand & intercept circuit diagram if any changes required.
  • Knowledge of harness, clips and connectors used for automotive application.
  • Collaboration with Suppliers & ensuring closure of activities & design requirements.
  • Extensive work experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Ability to negotiate complex arrangements with service providers and Suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to work individually and cross functional teams.
  • Experience managing projects and leading to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Good Knowledge on Tooling feasibility, Raw materials and their sources & familiarity with full design life cycle process.
  • Familiarity with the relevant industries, technical standards, and requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of electric vehicle system safety along with a Quality focused approach.
  • Hands on experience with CATIA V5/V6 , PLM and PDM (TEAM CENTRE, VISMOCKUP).

    • Roles and Responsibilities

  • Understanding Electrical vehicle EDU drivetrain & its requirement evaluation.
  • Understanding the Energy Storage system (Battery) sizing for Targeted vehicle performance.
  • Interfacing with PE components and other vehicle components.
  • Packaging & integrating of battery cooling system & Vent tube (for Bespoke & off Shelf part).
  • Design & Development of Vent tube to control gases of Battery in safe manner and discharge to safe zone area .
  • Creating Test case, Design Rule or requirements in S-Dots if required. (to carry out DV or PV test for Vent Tube & Fan )
  • Bench marking & Concept Development.
  • Adhering to JLR process and Gateways.
  • Working on QAF, RFQ and Support Plan along with supplier/Buyer & VFM team.
  • APQP meeting with suppliers.
  • Design and DFMEA review.
  • Comply Grade/EMC/Safety Compliance
  • Support development of parts In-house or at supplier end.
  • Support in testing of the parts at supplier or in-house as per DV or PV using JLR test case .
  • Support on Quality/Warranty issues (Post Launch).
    •Participate at Supplier PPAP activities & Periodic audits of suppliers to improve the quality and process improvements.
  • Support builds, creating supply plan for M1/VB & for production cars (Saleable vehicles).
  • Engineering solution for build issues & containing of current production parts as ICA & PCA.
  • Raising deviation against Requirements and PR-Aims and providing fixing point.
  • Managing cross car line releases for carry over parts.
