    Head of Product Management Job Description

    Role Overview

    As the Head of Product Management, your role extends beyond traditional product management. You'll be at the helm of innovation, ensuring product success, and aligning our product roadmap with the overarching goals of our organization. Let's dive into the specifics:

    Responsibilities

    1. Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management:

    o Develop and manage the entire product portfolio, encompassing both existing products and new innovations.

    o Define and align the vision, strategy, and roadmap to establish our company as a global supplier.

    2. Innovation and Vision:

    o Create and present visionary innovations, occasionally in front of investors or analysts.

    o Propose strategic decisions based on thorough business cases.

    3. Partnerships and Negotiations:

    o Establish and manage strategic partnerships to enhance our product offerings.

    o Lead contract negotiations when necessary.

    4. Cross-Functional Leadership:

    o Collaborate across departments to drive product success.

    o Communicate effectively with management, employees, partners, customers, and the press.

    5. Team Development:

    o Lead a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

    o Mentor and guide their professional growth.

    6. Market Understanding:

    o Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and industry dynamics.

    7. Digital Trading Space:

    o Understand the evolving landscape of digital trading, including mobile trading, stock trading, and other financial instruments.

    o Leverage this knowledge to shape our product offerings.

    8. Mobile Trading:

    o Recognize the significance of mobile trading. It refers to trading in the stock market using mobile phones.

    o Every major brokerage now offers mobile apps for trading. These apps allow investors to access accounts and initiate orders from their mobile devices.

    o Examples include:

    § TD Ameritrade Mobile: Offers a similar experience to desktop trading, customized for mobile. Their thinkorswim app provides powerful features like customizable screens, company research, and live text and screen sharing with trade specialists.

    § Robinhood: Known for commission-free trading, Robinhood started as a mobile-only app before expanding to the web.

    9. Stock Trading:
