    Summary:
    The position is fully accountable for managing Program planning, tracking and delivery of complex networking products.

    The candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Hardware, Software and Test Engineering teams and is expected to drive complex engineering projects from Design to Manufacturing.

    15+ years experience in the product development with 5+ years in Program ManagementGood experience in Microsoft Tools like Excel, Power point, WordMust have strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate at all levelsSound knowledge and understanding of Software Development Process and customer deploymentTrack record of proven leadership/management experience

    Responsibilities:

    We are looking for an Engineering Program Manager to lead New Product Introduction (NPI) Programs within the Program Management office that span across multiple functions like HW, SW, Test, PLM, Manufacturing, Technical publications, customer service etc.

    As an NPI lead you will manage all the required deliverables from HW, SW, and System Test throughout the NPI life cycle, from concept though delivery.


    Some of key responsibilities of this role are:Lead cross-team programs that deliver cutting edge state of the art products for TejasPlan and manage multiple programs consisting of several mid- to large projects simultaneously to achieve the goals of the programEstablish and manage cross-functional teams with PLM, HW, SW, Test Engineering, Operations, Technical publications, customer service that work on medium to large programsIdentify cross-functional interdependencies and risks, and successfully plans and manages those interdependencies and risksAdept at organizing and leading, multi-tasking and consultant team members, managers, and executives to support and implement NPI programsParticipate in identifying and solving process gaps that relate to project lifecycle processesResponsible for Program level milestones, budget, issue and risk management, and change management plans.

    Communication and interaction within NPI and senior managementRecognize variance between plan and actual results along multiple dimensions (scope, schedule, quality, risks) considering multiple interrelated projectsReview and optimize critical path and schedule considering multiple interrelated projectsRecognize changes in scope across multiple projects and can drive scope-versus-schedule/budget discussions to conclusion

    This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks, and change control.
    Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. The ideal candidate is a creative, demonstrated leader/manager with superior analytical abilities.
    This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The candidate is not just a policy maker/spokesperson but drives to get the right things done. This role will not have any direct reports or people management responsibilities.

    Candidate Requirements:
    B. E / B.

    Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Science Engineering15+ years of experience with at least 5+ Years of Program Management experience.

    Demonstrated experience in managing multiple concurrent complex, large HW oriented projects while leading matrixed teams.

    Should have a good understanding of Software Release processExpert in scope management, work breakdown structure creation, estimates (people, effort, cost, equipment, defects), and schedule; probes and validates estimates; can optimize estimation skill from project to project and recognizes their interdependencies throughout the program.

    Exposure to Atlassian tools like Jira, Confluence etcProject Management Professional (PMP) certification (Preferred)Expert in using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Email and data repository and query tools
