About the client:
A well known Food and Beverage company with presence internationally.


Job Purpose:


  • Purpose for managing all the sales and marketing related activities for Modern Trade channel.
  • He or she will play a key role in enabling synergies across sales, marketing and branding departments of the organization.
  • He is also responsible for generating sales thorough institution, CPC and frozen foods.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Strategic Accountability:_
  • Drive Modern sales strategy development, implementation and sales growth. Ensure the annual sales target across all the internal regions are met, annually.
  • Conduct a quarterly review to revise / change sales strategy based on the market growth and or internal sales achievement.
  • Ensure the drive to identify potential customer institutional is being executed at a regular interval.
  • Collaborate with Finance on devising the appropriate pricing strategy for each product.
  • Oversee trade promotional activities, both inside and outside, to ensure product achieves maximum visibility/traction. Ensure the promotional activities are managed within the defined budget.
  • Oversee entire sales process such as pricing, product lifecycle, product performance
  • Support senior management in aligning R&D activities as per the market and customer trends.
  • Regular meetings with key customers to understand their future plan, painpoints and to resolve issues.
  • Support sales leaders in resolving daytoday issues. He or she will be the point of contact to drive and implement these changes.
  • Operations Accountability:_
  • Ensure that the stock levels at SS and MT trade partners, are maintained, thus avoiding stock outs.
  • Ensures that all sales team members meet or exceed all activity standards for facetoface meetings, appointments and closes.
  • Prepare weekly sales and marketing reports for Chief Executive Officer and Directors.
  • Drive initiatives to improve accurate demand forecasting and be the lead stakeholder in the annual business planning as well as S&OP exercise.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the Sales Team.

Required Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited University, MBA preferred from any field.
years of experience in fmcg industry preferably food & beverage

  • 5+ yrs of experience leading the sales and marketing function
  • History of managing a large number of SKU's, product lines, geographies, market channels, and
marketing activities

  • Demonstrated success in developing and fostering relationships with distributors while sales
numbers, superior performance and continuous improvement


Additional Personal Attributes:


  • Demonstrated expertise in sales, marketing and distribution channel management
  • Skilled in organizational planning and development, people development and leadership
  • Data/statistical analytical abilities and able to interpret and capitalize on market data.
