    The Strategy and Technology Group (STG) is a new initiative within Aon to deliver innovative consulting and technology

    solutions to its clients. This is a great opportunity to join a growing group and to work with a highly skilled, collaborative.

    team of actuarial and software experts who are using the latest technology to deliver next generation products for insurance

    markets.

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

    C# developers develop modern applications that run on desktop computers, or even sophisticated back-end processes

    powering modern web applications. The frameworks .Net and Mono combined allow a wide range of platforms to be targeted

    by applications developed with C#.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    In this role, you will be working on the core calculation engine for Tyche and its supporting desktop IDE. A typical day would

    involve some or all of:

    Writing robust, efficient, and maintainable code, tests and documentation.

    Participating in the Agile development process through code reviews.

    Collaborating with colleagues in feature and delivery planning, design discussions and process improvements.

    Providing expert technical support to the consulting teams to assist with client implementation projects.

    Mentoring junior colleagues in the development team.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success :

    Extensive experience in development of desktop or back-end compute applications with C# and .NET.

    Knowledge and experience of algorithm design and implementation in a high-performance compute context.

    Understanding of software engineering processes and methods such as CI/CD. Automated testing, agile development.

    Educated to degree level with a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics

    or Computer Science.

    Passionate about technology, and writing well-designed, well-tested code.

    Able to communicate and explain complex ideas to others.

    Experience with typical Enterprise-level technology components such as RDBMS, web services, Azure
