- Drive IT strategy and policy initiatives within the IT function, by supporting the GCIO and the business with expertise in application development, maintenance, and sustenance.
- Develop and manage budgets for all application-related projects and intiatives and ensure sound return on investment.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging SAP and other technologies (O365, CRM, DMS, Cloud technologies, etc.) to drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and business growth.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and define the roadmap for solution implementation and upgrades.
- Stay updated with industry trends and leading practices in emerging technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of technology adoption.
- Coordinate with business solution leads and ensure proper Identification of use cases and preparation of business requirements for application development.
- Drive end-to-end application development and implementation though Inhouse/third party development teams and oversee project planning, timelines, and budgeting as well as adherence to quality standards and leading practices.
- Ensure successful project delivery by coordinating with respective business teams, consultants, and vendors, and monitor progress, risks, and issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate any potential roadblocks.
- Coordinate with IT Infrastructure vertical for ERP / Application related infrastructure management.
- Oversee the configuration, customization, and enhancement to meet business requirements.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
- Coordinate with vendor(s) and service delivery team to establish effective support processes to address and resolve application-related issues and user queries.
- Collaborate with consultants and vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Engage with business leaders, departments, and key stakeholders to understand their requirements and align solutions accordingly.
- Advise business units and functional teams and provide guidance on technology capabilities, leading practices, and industry trends.
- Evaluate and select vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Conduct regular vendor performance assessments to ensure service quality and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure contracts, licenses, and service level agreements are properly maintained.
- Collaborate with Program Management Office for change management initiatives and training programs to facilitate smooth transition during application deployment and upgrades.
- Provide direction and guidance to the team and foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- SAP Functional Module Certifications, certifications in development of cloud-based applications and database management will be preferred.
- MCA / MSc. / BE / B. Tech in Computer Science, IT or a related field
- 15+ years of relevant IT experience with at least 10 years of experience in application development and sustenance for a leading organization with diverse business units. The role requires proven experience in SAP implementation and configuration including project planning, resource management, and stakeholder engagement along with strong knowledge of SAP modules and understanding of various application development platforms and methodologies.
