    Description

    Responsibilities

  • Oversee several key groups with the Technology organization around data primarily around business intelligence and data architecture
  • Establish domain expertise and best practices in each of the aforementioned teams.
  • Evaluate and adopt best of breed tools around data.
  • Define and oversee metrics and objectives that will drive teams towards success
  • Possess a clear understanding of the software development lifecycle as it pertains to data
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to foster a one-team mindset.
  • Establish communication standards within Technology and the greater company business units.

    • Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
  • 8+ years in the software development discipline
  • Participated in multiple areas of the software development process around data
  • Solid understanding of the Agile or SCRUM development process and software release processes.
  • Must be a self-starter who is highly organized, hands-on, and a team player.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, startup environment.
  • Experience working with data-oriented and business intelligence tools including
  • o Data ETL technologies (Qlik Replicate, DMS)
  • o Data Visualization technologies (Tableau)
  • o Data Warehouses (Snowflake)
  • o Database Technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication.
