    Summary:

    Senior Project Engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. Develops small to mid-size product plans and budgets, performs critical analysis, pursues all cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability, and monitors project performance. Identifies and reacts to project problems and recommends solutions.

    EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

    Minimum 12+ years software development, project and program management experience in product based company required as below:

  • Essential Competencies: Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization using different project portfolio tools. Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization. Creating and managing long-term goals. Experience in driving agile teams. Developing a budget and operating plan for the program. Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement. Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services. Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities. Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team member performance. Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved. Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services. Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle. Analyzing program risks. Working on strategy with the marketing team. Closely work with global program managers, engineering teams and cross functional local & global teams Work with global and local PMO to identify /customize and apply project management processes, methodology and milestones Make recommendations regarding project prioritizations, scaling up or down, resource allocations, travels, capital investments etc. Work with peers locally as well as remotely to share & exchange best practices, assets /resources Proficiently work with Microsoft Project Plan and any other best project management tools Proficiently work with development methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile etc. and related project management tools such as Rally, JIRA etc. Hands-on experience in implementing quality system such as CMMi /SPICE or equivalent
  • Desirable Competencies: Proven experience in program management. Proven stakeholder management skills. Proven experience managing a team. Experience using computers for a variety of tasks. Competency in Microsoft applications including MS Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Understanding of project management. Experience with Six Sigma process and tools Exposure to process/product management tools such as DOORS, Rational Rhapsody, Windchill etc. Experience in executing passport /stage gate based development process
  • Other Competencies: Understanding of the entire system development process Strong English communication skills – oral and written Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary

    Degree in Engineering / Master in Computer Applications
