    Description

    The Lead Analyst will be required to partner with US counterparts to develop and drive analysis in the areas of Cost & FCO. Candidate should have knowledge and hands on experience to play the following role:

    • Optimization by evaluating First Cost and other landing cost
    • analyze impact of tariff and commodity prices on product cost
    • insights and recommendations to business for driving better negotiations with vendors
    • Intelligence to the negotiation team
    • on knowledge on product clustering and segmentation to evaluate similar items along with Parent SKU
    • on knowledge on various forecasting techniques e.g. Time Series, Regression etc.
    • with changes in reports and other modifications including conducting ad hoc analysis and reports building as per business needs
    • on time and accurate delivery of all cost related requests
    • a go-to point for all data and insights needs for the business.
    • to present insights rather than providing numbers to business.
    • independently and effectively with stakeholders on scope of project, presenting results, reconciliation of data etc.
    • Pursues self-development and effective relationships with team members and partners

    Qualifications & Qualities:

    • Graduate or Post-graduate (MBA Finance Or degree in quantitative fields like Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics)
    • 7-9 years of experience with 4-5 years with a Retail business
    • Understanding of retail business particularly in area of Product Sourcing, Cost and Pricing
    • Experience of working on vendor cost management, price negotiation insights will be preferred
    • Strong data collection, collation and cleansing skills using tools like SQL, SAS or other tools like R, Python
    • Strong knowledge of advanced MS Excel & VBA
    • Strong knowledge on Statistical Techniques like Clustering, K-Means, Market Basket, Forecasting, Regression
    • Knowledge of any one of the data visualization tools like MicroStrategy, Power BI
    • Strong independent ownership and drive to make sure projects/deliverables are pushed through
    • Strong communication skills – being able to manage upward, peers and offshore teams. Being able to translate business requirements to actionable deliverables
