We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team at Arunodaya Deseret Eye Hospital in the role of OT Assistant / Scrub Nurse / Ophthalmic Assistant.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in assisting our surgeons and healthcare professionals during ophthalmic surgeries and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments for ophthalmic procedures.
Assist the surgical team during surgeries, maintaining a sterile environment and providing necessary instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
Monitor patient vitals and assist in positioning patients for surgery.
Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures, including recording surgical counts and documenting patient information.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.
Assist in preoperative and postoperative patient care, including dressing changes and medication administration.
Provide patient education on postoperative care and followup instructions.
Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.

Requirements:

Degree or certification in nursing or a related field.
Relevant experience as an OT Assistant, Scrub Nurse, or Ophthalmic Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting.
Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment.
Familiarity with sterile techniques and infection control practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fastpaced surgical environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, surgeons, and the healthcare team.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Valid nursing license or certification, if required by the local regulatory authority.
