    Description

    Job Summary:

    As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of security analysts, engineers, and incident responders.

    Lead incident response efforts, coordinating the teams actions during security incidents. Responsible for evaluating, implement, and maintain security tools and technologies used for monitoring, detection, analysis, and response.

    Responsible for preparing and presenting regular reports to management and stakeholders, providing insights into the organizations security posture, ongoing threats, incidents, and mitigation strategies.


    Key Responsibilities:


    Lead and manage a team of security analysts, engineers, and incident responders in our SOC.Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the SOCs operations, aligned with the organizations security objectives.

    Oversee the monitoring of security s, logs, and data feeds to identify potential security incidents and threats.
    Coordinate and lead incident response efforts, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery from security breaches or threats.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, legal, compliance, and executive management, to integrate security policies and practices into the organizations operations.

    Evaluate, implement, and maintain security tools and technologies used for monitoring, detection, analysis, and response.

    Prepare and present regular reports to management and stakeholders, providing insights into the organizations security posture, ongoing threats, incidents, and mitigation strategies.

    Foster continuous improvement by organizing training sessions, workshops, and skill-building activities for team members.
    Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    Conduct risk assessments and collaborate with risk management teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
    Manage the SOCs budget, allocate resources, and maintain relationships with external security vendors and service providers.
    Lead forensic investigations to understand security incidents, gather evidence, and contribute to lessons learned.
    Ensure the SOCs operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.


    Qualifications and Skills:
    Bachelors degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
    Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security, or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are a plus.
    Strong understanding of networking protocols, security frameworks, and information security concepts.

    Experience with security technologies, including SIEM (Qradar, Rapid7), SOAR, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) and NDR (Vectra) tools.

    Knowledge on Packet Capture and Analysis Tools, Threat Hunting Platforms, Forensics Tools, Malware Analysis Tools, Threat Intelligence Platforms and Network Traffic Analysis (NTA) ToolsKnowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and cloud platforms.

    Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and their security components (AWS, Azure, OCI)Ability to analyze and interpret security events, s, and logs.

    Familiarity with incident response methodologies and best practices.
    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    A willingness to work in a 24/7 shift-based environment, if required.
