    Description

    This role requires a blend of technical expertise in network security and strong leadership skills to guide and mentor your team.

    Responsibilities :

    Team Leadership :

    • Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing team of network security engineers.
    • Foster a collaborative and learning environment for continuous improvement.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and provide clear direction to achieve team goals.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide career development opportunities.

    Security Strategy :

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive network security strategy aligned with industry best practices and organizational needs.
    • Define and enforce security policies and standards to ensure all network components adhere to best practices.
    • Stay informed of evolving cyber threats and adjust security strategies accordingly.

    Security Device Management :

    • Design, configure, and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and other security devices to optimize network protection.
    • Implement segmentation strategies to minimize the attack surface within the network.
    • Automate security device configurations where possible to improve efficiency.

    Incident Response :

    • Lead the incident response process by monitoring network traffic, analyzing logs, and investigating security incidents.
    • Identify and contain potential threats to prevent further compromise.
    • Develop and maintain an incident response plan for efficient response to security breaches.
    Security Audits :
    • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
    • Ensure compliance with internal security policies, industry regulations, and data privacy laws.
    • Work with other teams to remediate any vulnerabilities discovered during audits.

    Collaboration :

    • Work closely with IT and other business units to integrate security controls seamlessly into network infrastructure and systems.
    • Communicate security risks effectively to stakeholders and advocate for security best practices.
    • Foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
    • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in network security technologies and threats.
    • Research and implement new security solutions to enhance the organization's security posture.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of network security measures.

    Requirements :

    • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
    • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in network security engineering or related roles, with demonstrated leadership experience (minimum 2 years).
    • Strong understanding of network security concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.
    • g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, encryption).
    • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools a plus.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

    Skills :

    • Network Security Management: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of network security engineers.
    • Security Device Configuration: Experience in designing, configuring, and managing firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
    • Incident Response: Skilled in monitoring, analyzing logs, and responding to security incidents.
    • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls.
    • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certification in network security (e.g., CCNP Security, CISSP).
    • Experience with cloud security solutions (e.g., AWS Security, Azure Security).
    • Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
